Under 65 Health Insurance

Finding the right health insurance before age 65 can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. At Expedition Insurance Services, we help individuals, families, and self-employed professionals compare health insurance options to find coverage that fits both their healthcare needs and their budget.

Afforable Care Act (ACA) Health Plans

We help clients enroll in Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace health plans during the annual Open Enrollment Period, which typically runs from November 1 through January 15 (dates may vary by state).
ACA plans provide comprehensive coverage and include essential health benefits such as:

  • Preventive care

  • Doctor and specialist visits

  • Emergency services

  • Hospitalization

  • Maternity and newborn care

  • Mental health services

  • Prescription drug coverage

  • Pediatric services

Depending on your household income, you may qualify for premium tax credits that can significantly reduce your monthly premium. Many individuals and families even qualify for plans with very low or $0 monthly premiums.

Special Enrollment Periods

If you miss Open Enrollment, you may still qualify for coverage through a Special Enrollment Period if you've experienced a qualifying life event, including:

  • Losing employer-sponsored health insurance

  • Getting married or divorced

  • Having or adopting a child

  • Moving to a new state or coverage area

  • Other qualifying life changes

We'll help determine if you qualify and guide you through the enrollment process.

Short-Term Health Insurance

If you're between jobs, waiting for employer benefits to begin, missed Open Enrollment, or simply need temporary coverage, Short-Term Health Insurance may be a great option.
Short-term plans can offer:

  • Lower monthly premiums

  • Flexible coverage periods

  • Fast approvals in many cases

  • Protection against unexpected medical expenses

These plans are intended for temporary situations and generally do not include all of the benefits provided by ACA Marketplace plans. We'll explain the differences and help you determine if a short-term plan is the right fit.

Which Plan Is Right for You?

Choosing the right health insurance depends on several factors, including:

  • Your age

  • Household income

  • Current medications

  • Preferred doctors and hospitals

  • Expected healthcare needs

  • Monthly budget

There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Our licensed health insurance advisors take the time to understand your situation, compare your options, and recommend the plan that best meets your needs.
